Hi, I’m Faith!
I graduated from American University in 2020 with a Bachelors in Graphic Design. I am always eager to learn new things, collaborate with others, and sharpen my design skills. While I understand that graphic designers should be well-rounded in their skills, I am particularly passionate about page layout and typography.
I am currently at a custom apparel company where I actively get to practice my Adobe Illustrator skills when designing logos and designs for clients. I am in constant communication with clients and stay organized to ensure orders are completed in a timely manner. I also manage the DTF printer for designs to be heat-pressed to shirts, and set up files for Screen printing. I have had to learn fast to keep up with client orders, as I am the only designer. This position pushes me to manage my time effectively and be detail oriented. While I love swag (I grew up as a student-athlete), I’d love to work with a design team and focus solely on designing, rather than managing the printers.
In the past, I have freelanced both design and calligraphy work. I developed layouts for digital ads, designed logos, and incorporated artistic designs in wedding signage. The wedding projects are my personal favorite as I love weddings and am very passionate about typography. Those projects challenge me creatively and allow me to grow as an artist. Growing up as a student-athlete, I have learned to balance multiple tasks and stay organized in order to not only keep up with all my responsibilities, but to excel at them. I’m a quick learner who likes to seek inspiration from others. I can work individually, but am a team player at heart. I love the dialogue that comes with design and value constructive feedback.
When I’m not designing, I love going outside to hike, ride my bike, or play sports. I don’t like sitting still, and love the company of others. During my hikes, I take plenty of photos of nature! I’m a huge advocate for sustainability, and am slowly working towards a fully sustainable lifestyle (though, I don’t think I can give up meat!). When I’m on the go, you can always find a metal straw kit in my bag!
