Gabriella’s Sweet 16

The client wanted shirts and hoodies for a disco-themed sweet 16. As reference, the client provided an image of their invitation. The biggest design challenge was determining the layout of the text with the disco ball. Originally, the client had the text fall around the disco ball. I informed the client that due to the hood covering a portion of the back, the a stacked-text design would be too long. We continued to communicate directly and decided to overlay the text with the disco. The disco and cursive font clashed, so I created white space around the text so allow the black hoodie to show through; thereby providing a border around the text for higher readability.

Draft 1: I worked to replicate the fonts and decorations from the invitation the client provided.

Final Design: The fonts and sparkles remained the same, but a disco ball was added as a background.

Final Design Proofs: These designs were send directly to the client via email for approval.
