ADN Mechanical

The owner of ADN Mechanical approached me to design a logo for their HVAC company, with one clear requirement: it had to incorporate the American flag. My initial concept, created in Adobe Illustrator, featured a formal and structured layout, embedding a serif font within the flag’s stripes. While the client appreciated the integration of text and graphic, they requested a stronger visual connection to heating and cooling.

I explored ways to bring more movement and symbolism into the design, leaning into a more fluid, whimsical approach while still preserving the flag element. After researching HVAC systems, I drew inspiration from wind currents and airflow patterns. This led to a dynamic design that visually represented temperature control. The color palette—blue for cooling and red for heating—not only reinforced the HVAC theme but also aligned naturally with the American flag’s colors, tying everything together in a cohesive and meaningful way.
